Our Special Assessments team supports our entire division, as well as runs our front of house operations and handles stakeholder inquiries. The team is in charge of our direct billing process and submits the annual assessment data for each Business Improvement District in the City of Los Angeles to the Los Angeles County Assessor's Office.

Our Accounting team is responsible for collecting assessments from the Los Angeles County Assessor's Office. The team is also responsible for sending assessment funds to the Business Improvement Districts and reviewing and reconciling the Business Improvement District Trust Fund.

Our BID Analyst team is responsible for assisting in the facilitation of establishing and renewing Business Improvement Districts. The team is also responsible for making sure the BIDs are in compliance with their Administrative Contract and are fulfilling all of the requirements outlined in their contracts. The team also communicates BID related information to BID directors and to Los Angeles City Council staff.

Our Technical Research Unit reviews and verifies data submitted by the Business Improvement Districts within the City of Los Angeles. This type of information may include building and parcel information, assessments, and verification of business operating within a BID. The team also tabulates and verifies balloting for the formation and renewal of BIDs.
