Advisory Notice
Pursuant to City of Los Angeles Ordinance No. 187219, beginning Monday, November 8, 2021, PROOF OF COVID-19 VACCINATION or PROOF OF NEGATIVE COVID-19 TEST (conducted within the last 72 hours) will be required to enter City buildings.

To help slow the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Office of City Clerk, Election Division is closed for in-person services.

Proposition 218 Announcement:
Pursuant to Council adoption of Ordinance of Intention on September 28, 2021, the tabulation of ballots shall take place at the City Clerk - Election Division Office at the Piper Technical Center (555 Ramirez Street, Space 300) on December 1, 2021, at 10:00 a.m., and will be publicly live-streamed. To access the live stream, join Zoom Meeting ID: 953 8628 4393, Passcode: prop218. Public announcement of the results from the tabulation of ballots and consideration of the Final Ordinance will take place at Council on January 18, 2022.

About Us

The Election Division is responsible for the conduct of Neighborhood Council and portions of Municipal Elections, as well as, on-going agency board elections. Municipal elections (Primary Nominating and General Municipal) are held in the even-numbered years and Neighborhood Council elections are held in odd-numbered years. As of 2020, the County of Los Angeles conducts the majority of the City’s Municipal election functions.
